We bought "Howl's Moving Castle" last Monday on DVD, and really, it's fantastic, now I'm very curious about the novel...is as SteamPunk as the film? I love the character, specially enjoyed Howl in his Queer moments and Calcifer ( oooh Calcifer, we bow down to you!), the plot is veeery sweet! and oh, miracle, not one but TWO kisses in a Miyazaki film....*squees and dies*. I bet I'd understand plenty of things if I red the novel.... anyway it was lovely. (raise hands who likes brunette Howl most!). *ahem*raise hands who think that chara designers in this films had a nonstop session of "Labyrinth"davidbowielooks....*ahem*. I love how they recicled Heidi's backgroundsXDD (joking joking!)....and honestly, I strongly recommend this one!
Yesterday, in the middle of the film, the phone rings...some stupid opinion poll from our internet service....well, I answered because I'm really sorry about the girls there who get paid for poll made and not for worked time, so, whatever, I did answer her questions...
She got to "How old are you" part and I say, 21, and she answers " oh, how young, and do you live by yourself already??" and started talking to me for houuurs and told me everything about how greatly his boyfriend cooks and how she is working a good job and how alone people are, because when she calls and starts talking to them ow lonely people need her to talk to them ...I laughed a lot, it was surreal! She was a nice girl, but so talkactive!

Date: 2006-07-05 07:25 am (UTC)Si te ves los reportajes del DVD (los de la versión chupitiguay, claro) verás cómo la novela no es tan steampunk, de hecho la autora dice que el castillo es como un castillo de los de toda la vida. El steampunk lo pone Miyazaki.
Y yo que pensaba que lo de la gente que te cuenta su vida sin conocerla de nada sólo pasaba aquí en Andalucía Oo

Y la chica del teléfono tenía que estar desesperada por evadirse del curro, porque los encuestadores telefónicos no suelen ponerse a charlar con los encuestados de esa manera (al menos con los que me ha tocado lidiar a mí)
